The Isuzu 11.00 and 12.00 tonne GVW ‘FORWARDS’ both have compact footprints as well as class-leading carrying capacities of 7520kgs and 7952kgs respectively (body/payload). The physical presence of both of these vehicles makes them look more like the European manufacturer’s 7.5 tonners – they really are compact with low chassis heights and great versatility.
Available with either Isuzu’s Easyshift or manual transmissions they are both easy to drive and offer excellent manoeuvrability. Both models use Isuzu’s Euro VI four-cylinder 5.2 litre engine that offers excellent torque characteristics which means less gear-changing and a more relaxed driving experience – ultimately providing greater fuel efficiency and therefore greater productivity. It’s just the power ratings that differ - the engine of the 11 tonner produces 210 PS and 706Nm torque whilst the engine of the 12 tonner produces 240 PS and 765Nm torque. All of the 11.00t models are built on chassis with steel suspension. On the 12.00t models however air suspension is standard on the 5320mm and optional on the 4990mm wheelbase models. Both of these models are ideal distribution vehicles and both chassis are suitable for boxes, curtainsiders, tippers, flatbeds, dropsides, recovery, plant-carrying, refrigerated, livestock, tankers and waste/recycling vehicles – basically just about everything you can throw at them!
